Stock prices can be volatile, do you want to know how you can make money even if the price of a stock falls? “Show me the money,” a line made famous from one of my favorite movies, “Jerry Maguire” is an essential part of investing. In my many years of investing experience, I have become well aware of the importance of receiving cash or cash flow. So how do you do it? What type of investments provide cash returns? Robert Kiyosaki, the author of “Rich Dad, Poor Dad’ would recommend real estate or perhaps holdings in oil fields, but for many, that is too complicated, so what is an easy way to get cash from your investments? The answer is dividends.
Dividends are a sum of money paid regularly, typically quarterly, by a company to its shareholders out of its profits. Therefore, if you own stocks paying dividends, you could receive regular deposits of cash in your account or checks in the mail. The amount of cash you could receive is unlimited, it’s based on the size of your portfolio of dividend producing stocks.
